I'm ready for getting into healthier eating/juicing habits. I'm tired of refined, processed foods, where I eat them primarily to put some bad calories into my body in quick and convenient ways. I've been reluctant to buy a juicer because the last one I had was a cheap, centrifugal unit I admittedly bought twenty years ago. I think I used it once. Happily, however, the technology is here now to provide a streamlined, clean, juicer that I believe will set the bar to a new level. The Ventray Cold Press Juicer is amazing. Like everybody else, I did my fair share of research; I am meticulous that way now. After reading a million or so reviews and watching as many videos, I became pretty jaded, thinking I had basically two choices: either spend a LOT of money on a quality juicer, or stay within an affordable range and get a sub-quality unit I'd be sort of happy with. In watching video reviews, it's gets depressing to see a "best-selling" juicer in my price range sit there and rock and squeak and struggle to get a dribble of juice out. I then found the Ventray, and I kept going back to it time after time. I bought it finally and am really glad I did.I know I'm sounding like a salesman here, but this is really just true enthusiasm. I love this juicer and am 100% happy with it so far. In the past five days, I have used it four times to crank out five or six quarts of juices. I have juiced apples, celery, kale, spinach, ginger, oranges, lemons, pears, carrots, cucumbers, and red cabbage. Everything went in easily and came out perfectly for me. Very little pulp, minimal to moderate foam, and NO "strings" from the greens btw. The wonderful part is you can refrigerate the juice in jars for consumption the next day, and it doesn't degrade at all in taste. Nor does it separate. It also makes juice quickly for it being a slow-juicer. For example, I can make a quart of Joe Cross's lean mean green juice in under five minutes. And I actually used carrot pulp to add to some black-bean burgers I made last night. They were awesome.I was really surprised with how small the footprint of this unit is. It would fit nicely on a countertop, although it is a little tall since it is a vertical machine and may not fit under some cabinets. So far I've left mine out on the kitchen island so I can admire it when not in use; I know...I need to get out more. Really really easy to clean. As I dismantle it, I rinse each piece and toss it in dishwater for a quick wash. It really couldn't be simpler. And for the very best part: the quality of the build. It's heavy. It doesn't vibrate or wobble, or rock when juicing- even hard vegetables like carrots. Each part is made of heavy-duty material, it all fits together perfectly, and feels like it's meant to last a long time. I'm anxious to share the juice with friends, but so far my partner and I have drank it all up (mostly me truth be known). I'm currently fighting off the urge to head to the fridge for more as I write. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to a friend, despite the fact that I've had it for less than a week. And to be entirely fair, I'm going to give it a couple of months and do a follow up review with pics. Thanks for reading this.I used to have an Omega masticating juicer but never really liked it. I decided to try this one because I liked the vertical shape better. It works good and I like the design such as the spouts, buckets, and large feeder opening. The only drawback is the design of the exhaust tube is too shallow so it's a little difficult for the pulp to come out and clean. You need to open the flap and use the hook took to clean it out. If only it was twice as high it would be even better. Still happy especially with the vertical function, I think it yields more juice by gravity default as the pulp is bone dry.I like this product, however, I need help from my husband when it's time to get the top off to clean it. Big inconvenience!Love the product. It's very quiet and gets the job done. I did some cucumber and ginger and watercress today. It's reverse perfectly when too large of veggies get caught in the spinner. It's super easy to disassemble and I use it on 200 watt solar panel. Very useful. Exact Same as breville. Just better price.I'd you're looking for a good juicer this is the one. Juice comes out with extra pulp, so you don't waste a lot of produce, easy to assemble, washing part is kind of annoying but so worth it. It's quiet compared to other juicers and the price is fair. 10 out of 10This juicer is very efficient, easy to clean and manufactured with high quality materials. I love this juicer!!!This IMHO is a great juicer for the beginner juicer. Works decent enough. If your budget allows go for the Nama juicer, imho. After killing many juicers I have finally found one that lives up to my needs. It's a slow juicer so you have to get used to it taking longer but this machine is incredible!! Can handle anything I put in it (I juice a lot of ginger and turmeric lol). Super easy to take apart and clean! Highly highly recommend!!I LOVE THIS JUICER. I’ve been sharing it with everyone - we originally bought a centrifugal breville that we returned bc the yield from veggies was laughable - but this one always has a great yeild and dry pulp (the consistency obviously varries between watery fruits and leafy veg) but it’s not extremely loud, is easy to clean and assemble and the price is extremely fair. Masticating juicers are the way to go!Pretty easy to use, especially with the helpful comments left by earlier buyers.Surprised by how quiet it is, and how quickly it extracts juice. My father, who complains about the slightest noise, commented on how quiet this is.Juice extraction is outstanding, as mentioned by other buyers, though I did find it doesn't have a "perfectly" designed outlet for the liquids. I was impressed how quickly it runs through ginger, apples, oranges, peaches, and blueberries during my first extraction. So far, very happy with this purchase.I am very happy with my slow juicer. Initially, I purchased a different brand for the same price and found the chute to be too small and it was closed on all sides. This chute is wider and it is open at the top so you don't have to dig the food fiber out. It goes together like the first one I purchased but the quality of the Ventray is better and everything clicks very easily into place while the other one I had to struggle with.I researched several brands and price points and am very happy to have spent the extra dollars for the Ventray. It runs quiet and it is literally a quick rinse and the parts are clean. I hardly even have to use the brush and I have yet to use the plunger. I do a slow feed and the food goes in very efficiently. It is heavier than my first purchase which I find reassuring that it is quality built and the side handle is strong and makes lifting easy.I definitely recommend this machine. It makes awesome celery juice:)Originally, my review after two days of use was very positive. After 4 weeks, it all went down the hill. The amount of noise keeps increasing by the day. It literally wakes up everybody at home; it rattles as loud as a diesel tractor. In addition, the description on Amazon states it is dishwasher safe and easy to clean, which is far from accurate. Page 4 of the Owner Manual reads: "Do not put the juicer parts in the dish washer"...false advertisement to make you believe it is easy to clean (?).I have been in contact with the seller, who takes days to reply and made a promise to change the machine, unfortunately, the communication went silent. So now I doubt the customer service as well.On the positive side, it makes good juice, but you have to deal with the increased noise. I doubt this machine will last more than 2 months.
