We previously had a juicer my husband had bought decades ago from a restaurant supply store. But the paint was chipping off and the parts that was in contact with the fruit was made of aluminum and had pitted badly. This juicer blows that one out of the water. Stainless steel where the fruit is in contact and therefore I can put it in the dishwasher. Beautiful mechanism for juicing. Built like a tank. I appreciate that it's not painted so don't have to worry about paint chipping off down the road. Big bonus is that it's built in the USA. People need to keep in mind that USA products are generally more expensive because our workers are paid more. This juicer is a worthy or being passed down to generations. Buy quality, not quantity. The only negative is that it's too tall to put in my undercounter cabinet where the old one was.
