I am no stranger to juicers. I own a Norwalk, which costs a small fortune, and a couple of other types. They are sitting in the garage, gathering dust. They work, but they are a LOT of trouble to deal with and clean.This machine was surprisingly easy to use and easy to clean. I was worried at first, as I'm not a big fan of products made in China, where "quality control" is all too often a foreign concept to them. But it looks like West Bend is keeping a close eye out in this regard. I fully expected to take the pulp ejected by the juicer, and run it through a separate press I have, only to discover that the pulp is quite dry. No real wasted juice with this machine. You have to feed fruits and veggies through this a bit slower than other machines, but not really a problem. Let it work at its own speed.The instructions are clear and concise. It is a slight headache to clean but I just think of how healthy a decision I have made. Used my for the very first time last night. There is cleaning involved but I’m also cleaning of my bad habitsI made a nice beets, celery, apple, carrot & pineapple cleanse last night. No issues - just cut up the large pieces and the juice was madeOur machine was defective. Kept backing up and throwing juice all over the place. It took us twelve hours to do three hours of work and we weren't finished. We had a friend come over with the identical machine and we tried using his components in our machine. First the auger. That wasn't the problem. Next the screen. That definitely was the problem. It was not allowing the juice to flow and we had more pulp than juice. Item has been returned and refunded. Don't be afraid to ask for help. The fault isn't always yours and we appreciate how smoothly the return and refund went. Thank you.I love ease of putting juicer togetherDoes its job! Noisy but not as loud as my blender?. Could squeeze our more juice from celery; pulp can be reprocessed to get more juice out.This juicer worked great…for about 3 months. The auger stopped breaking down the vegetables and filled the strainer so much and didn’t give as much juice. I’m not sure if it was the motor or auger. I contacted the company & explained the problem. They said they would send me a new auger but I had to pay $9.95 for shipping. I don’t think if s company’s product breaks after only 3 months the consumer should pay anything for the placement. Period. DO NOT RECOMMEND.So easy to use! It’s easier to clean than my mom’s Omega juicer. It is just as good as hers as far as juice I get out of it. I’ve used it mainly for celery. So easy to pull apart tooDid not extract all the juices available . The motor smelled burny after the third run . Did not meet my expectation .A cheaper juicer and you get what you pay for. A lot of juice is left behind but it does work pretty good. I have a big apple tree and I juiced much of the tree. I have also done carrots and celery and spinach. It has lasted thru the fall harvest.The good points: Easy to assemble and easy to clean. Light and not taking up much space.The bad points: The actual juicing part of the fruits/vegetables are fine, however, loading the fruits/vegetables as well as dispensing the waste (after the juicing is completed) are challenging. Even with the "pusher" the items do not load into the auger easily, regardless of how small I cut the items into pieces. And the waste does not come out through the joint properly, always seem stuck there. Perhaps this is the value for the money I paid for, but a bit disappointed with the item. I am returning this.The Auger of the juicer got damaged. Amazon cx service asked me to get in touch with the manufacturer for part replacement bcoz the product is still in warranty. Tried calling this co. they never answer ur call. Sent them an email since 4 month no reply yet. Contacted amazon n they asked me to attach the screen shot of the email sent to the manufacturer, which i did. After this no response from amazon as well. I am left with a. damaged juicer worth $110. ?Lots of pulp and foam. The final yield not any better than a centrifugal juicer. I was expecting the pulp to be almost dry but it was quite wet. The juice does however taste better than centrifugal juicer juice.I like the juicer. The final product tastes better than centrifugal juicer and do not make noise while operating. Cleaning takes sometime but overall a good purchase.
