I'm very surprised by how much I love this juicer - my husband has started to just smile and shake his head and walk away when I'm using it and can't stop saying how great it is.This is my first juicer. I am more of a high-powered-blender, smoothie-with-whole-fruits-and-vegetables kind of person. But I wanted to be able to add fresh carrot and ginger juice to my kombucha, among other things. I was afraid this would not be up to the task for such a modest price point, but I figured it was worth a try.Well it is up to the task! As long as you follow the directions to cut the tougher items (like carrots, ginger, celery, etc.) and soak them in water before juicing, it does a very good job. I processed two whole apples (minus cores) and 1 carrot (cut and pre-soaked) and an inch or two of ginger (pre-soaked), and came out with just over 4 oz. of juice. (I hated wasting the pulp, so I added water to flush out what was left in the juicing chamber and filled a jar with the remaining pulp, and will add it to my smoothies this week. Waste not want not, you know.) Then I decided to juice some grapefruits from my tree, expecting to be underwhelmed and finish the job with my manual reamer - but I never could have produced the amount of juice this little machine did, and the remaining pulp was practically dry. Unbelievable.One thing that always turned me off from juicers was that everyone says they are hard to clean. I found this one very easy to clean. I disassembled it and pretty much just rinsed everything under running water, then used the brush for the few little particles that were still stuck. It was maybe a couple of minutes all together.So the great things about this juicer are:-Well designed, easy to assemble, the parts can mostly only go together one way so you can't really get it wrong, not a lot of extra parts - simple and efficient-Compact footprint, doesn't take up any more space than my blender - and the lovely matte green looks great!-Easy operation (just forward and reverse, nothing complicated) and great performance-Quick and easy to disassemble and clean-Modest price pointIs there anything I don't like about this juicer? So far not really, maybe after I use it a few more times I will find something, but so far I don't have any complaints. How long will the little motor last? I always think of that like "how long will a car last?" it mostly depends on how you use and maintain it, right? So that remains to be seen, but I will use care like it instructs not to run it too long at a time etc. so as not to overheat it, and keep it clean, and hope for the best.Oh and by the way, my autumn spice kombucha with the fresh apple, carrot and ginger juice plus spices tastes amazing! :)
